It all begins with a school uniform.

The Imibala Trust is a registered South African NPO which works with children of school-age whose lives are affected by impoverished circumstances. The Trust provides a platform from which to offer programmes that make a substantial and measurable difference in the lives of the children, currently and as they prepare for their lives after school. All children, regardless of race or creed, are assisted through these programmes.

The flagship programme which affects the largest number of children annually is the Sponsor-a-Child programme. The effects of persistent poverty continue to compromise children’s futures and hamper their dignity, safety and ability to thrive in the school system. Through our school networks, are identified and assessed for support from Imibala. A network of generous and faithful donors, has developed over the years.

Seeing a child put on their new school uniform creates the biggest smiles at Imibala. This is where the journey starts.

Creative & Performing Arts Programme

Individuality, creativity and encouragement all contribute to the full experience of Creative and Performing Arts Department.

Learner Advancement Programme

Our 22-station Computer Centre is designed to make our Imibala children comfortable, confident and excited about their future.

Hospitality Training Centre

Developing real-world skills, growing in confidence, and building a strong foundation for a successful future in the hospitality industry.

Our Partners

The Imibala Trust has entered into an exciting and meaningful partnership with the Serondella Foundation.
 
Based in the Hoedspruit / Thornybush region and supported by Serondella Safari Lodge, the Serondella Foundation focuses on community support and outreach in their local area. Through this partnership, The Imibala Trust co-ordinates the procurement of school uniforms, made possible by the generous donations and sponsorships received by the Serondella Foundation.
 
This special partnership not only equips children with what they need to attend school with confidence, but also helps ease the financial burden on their families.

For vocational training, the Imibala Trust partners with Building Skills Welfare Switzerland, which provides financial support for practical, career-focused training for talented school leavers from disadvantaged families in the Helderberg region.
